World Travel Awards

The World Travel Awards have been held annually since 1993 by the World Travel and Tourism Council, recognizing institutions that demonstrate excellence in the sector. Their goal is to acknowledge, reward, and celebrate the best in travel, tourism, and hospitality worldwide.

Stay U-nique was a proud winner of the World Travel Awards in 2022 — for the fourth consecutive year, following 2019, 2020, and 2021.

We were recognized as the Best Serviced Apartment Brand in Spain.

The We Respect seal

We Respect was founded as a non-profit movement promoting respect for coexistence and compliance with community rules.

The seal certifies vacation rental properties that maintain good practices and responsible tourism — exactly what we at Stay U-nique strive for.

A property with the We Respect seal promotes good relationships among neighbors, guests, and owners. It also represents a benchmark for social sustainability, thanks to measures such as:

  • Installing noise monitors to control sound levels
  • Tools to encourage waste separation
  • Promoting rational use of electricity and water
  • Elevator weight control systems to avoid overloading
  • Additional signage in entryways and apartments

This seal also attracts guests who value respect for local communities and the environment, adding extra value. Apartments with the We Respect seal inspire greater trust and, as a result, are in higher demand.

Solidarity Check-In

Stay U-nique is a member of the Barcelona Tourist Apartments Association (APARTUR). In 2017, we participated in the Solidarity Check-In program, which ran from July to October.

The initiative supported the Vincles social project, which helps single mothers at risk with babies under three years old. For every check-in during that period, one euro was donated.

This action reinvested part of the tourism income into helping those most in need. It was a powerful reminder of what we stand for: a model of responsible, sustainable tourism.

Quality Compromise by Apartur

Another achievement was receiving the Quality Compromise certification from Apartur, which recognizes professionalism and best practices.

This seal guarantees a level of service above industry standards, compliance with regulations, honest advertising, and transparency. It’s a recognition that strengthens our leadership and commitment to excellence.
